Ask the Experts
Nephrology Department
A consultation with our experienced nephrologists is the first step to manage a kidney disorder so that we can make an early diagnosis and prescribe the necessary medication and treatment.
At different stages and depending on the degree of kidney disorder, there are various treatment options involving adjustments and changes in day-to day lifestyle. Our counsellors provide the necessary guidance and support to help you decide on a viable treatment option and manage your lifestyle changes in a balanced and healthy way.
Dialysis
For those with kidney disorders, we have dialysis facilities to remove waste products from their systems. We have advanced haemodialysis machines for removal of creatinine, urea and other toxins from the blood. We provide for isolation haemodialysis to prevent patient-to-patient transmission of infections. As an alternative to haemodialysis, we also carry out peritoneal dialysis which uses the peritoneum in the patient’s abdomen as a membrane across which fluids are exchanged from the blood.

Renal Replacement
In the case of acute renal failure, the kidneys become unable to excrete wastes and maintain the balance between electrolytes, fluids and acid bases. Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) attempts to replace this lost kidney function as best as possible using different techniques such as ultrafiltration, haemofiltration, hemodiafiltration etc.
Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) for acute renal failure in critically ill patients
Surgery
We perform surgeries to create an arteriovenous (AV) fistula – a connection or passage that is created between an artery and a vein for dialysis treatment. Our expert surgeons are fully capable of carrying out organ transplant for patients with end stage kidney disease.
